Kenosha, WI. The final day of competition at the 2025 AGA Women’s Amateur Championship commenced after overnight showers and cooler temperatures blew in. With a crowded leaderboard in both the Mid-am and Senior divisions, it was going to take a special round to manage the elements, the challenging course, and a star-studded field at the top of the leaderboard.

In the Championship Division, it was a familiar name at the top in the end, with defending champion Kelsey Chugg again lifting the trophy. Her consistent play over three days, with scores of 74,74, and 75, managed to provide her with a less stressful win and ultimately a five-shot victory. Close behind and finishing in second alone was Samantha Postillion at +12. The low final round was posted by Courtney Dow (-2, 70) and moved her up to a tie for third with Tina Papatolis. Melissa Loh finished alone in 5th at +14.

In the Senior Division, Dawn Woodard’s second-round -5 (67) vaulted her into a tie for the lead with Leah Klasse, who is the first-round leader, with defending champion Tara Joy-Connely lurking three shots back. Woodard’s steady play over the final round of 2 over was enough to claim the title by three shots. Connelly’s final round 74 (+2) moved her up to solo 2nd. Lara Tennant’s final two rounds of 71-72 slid her into 3rd place. Leah Klasse finished in 4th, and Ellen Port rounded out the top five.

About the Amateur Golf Alliance: The Concession Cup Match was initially designed to bring top mid-amateurs and seniors from the USA and GB&I together to compete in a Ryder Cup-style event. The 2022 version of the Matches saw the expansion of the GB&I team to now include players from continental Europe. The 2024 Matches added a women’s side and a USA sweep for both the men and women.

The Amateur Golf Alliance (AGA) is dedicated to supporting and promoting the amateur game. It achieves this by organizing competitions, providing amateur golfers worldwide with more opportunities to compete in national and international events, and funding research and initiatives that enhance the landscape of competitive amateur golf. Anera Sports, based in Dallas, TX, manages the AGA.
